Meet the newest member of my family:

His name is Midnight (I have dubbed him Sammy because he is the baby, but he's HUGE. He also looks big and mean, but is one of the most affectionate cats EVER.)

To fully appreciate his size )

I'm watching "Castle" and Amy Gumenick is playing the victim's roommate.

My first thought as soon as she appeared on screen: "Mary! Where's John?"

My second thought: "...crap. *shoots the crossover plot bunnies*"

Also? This episode is awesome and absolutely hilarious. Definitely up there with my favorites. If you're not watching this show, you totally should be.

And now - because I haven't done this in a while - Obligatory Pet Spam!

Enough kitty cuteness to rot your teeth under here. )

Today after work, I was compelled to take the train uptown to Central Park. I walked around a bit - they were getting the park ready for the NYC marathon - then sat down for a while in Sheep's Meadow, zoned out, and wrote. I planned on working on my SPN mini-NaNo project. I ended up writing two scenes from an original fic I've been working on little by little for a while now. The atmosphere was just very inspiring.

Funny how those things work out.

Something told me to take my camera with me to work this morning, and I'm really glad I had it with me - on my way out of the park, I stopped and took pictures. Everything was just so pretty, all the autumn colors, the flags on the side of the road for the marathon. I forgot how beautiful the park is in the Fall. I used to be there all the time - I went to high school just a few blocks away.

Under the cut is one of the scenes I ended up with, for anyone who might be interested.

Original Project Scene )

And these are the pictures I took. Warning: They're small (click to see them bigger), but this is still picture heavy. I went a little crazy, but I'm a little in love with these pictures. I am unashamed.

First off, I went through the giant pile of mail on the desk in my living room, and [livejournal.com profile] abigail89, [livejournal.com profile] rainpuddle13, [livejournal.com profile] acoustics1220, and [livejournal.com profile] deadduck008 I received your cards - thank you so much! [livejournal.com profile] acoustics1220, I don't know what you were talking about busy - the card is AWESOME, seriously. [livejournal.com profile] rainpuddle13, I literally squeed out loud. THANK YOU!! ♥ ♥ [livejournal.com profile] abigial89, I loved seeing you too <333 And [livejournal.com profile] deadduck008 - YES. YES WE MUST. I'M FREE WHEN YOU ARE.

And although she probably won't see this for at least another two weeks, [livejournal.com profile] cinnamon_kisses, I got your package - and you rock my world ♥ But all of that white chocolate might very well put me into a sugar coma XD SWEET! (heh XD)

So, I get home tonight and make myself and my brother dinner. Easy stuff - hamburgers and french fries.

Yeah - the chop meat smelled a bit off when I was actually making the burgers, but everything has smelled a bit weird to me today, so I figured maybe I was going crazy.

...nope. Tasted a cooked burger. The meat is definitely bad.

Well, shit. There goes that.

Went to make myself soup... yeah. That looks funky too. Maybe it's from being jostled around in my bag at work and not being eaten (yesterday was WAY too hot for soup, and I ended up getting sushi), but I am not happy camper right now -_- Either my luck is just that bad, or my taste buds are just that off today (eta: my brother tasted the burgers when he got home from work, and they were bad. Good to know it's not just me?)

And now the cats are screaming for food. Like I didn't just feed them five minutes ago, what the hell.

Cranky? Me? Nahhhh XD

In other news, I have new socks on! new glasses! I CAN SEE AGAIN! NO MORE BLURRY VISIONS OR MIGRAINES FOR MEEEEEEEE! :D

Excuse my hair - it's been raining and snowing all day. )

And now, I must work on my [livejournal.com profile] twilight_santa gift and my flist Christmas requests. I can't believe there are only nine days until Christmas o_O I haven't even started shopping yet. Eep?

Speaking of, if you have not already requested a Christmas gift from me, feel free to head on over and do so here :D

Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] imaginarycircus:

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

Based entirely on my personality, hunt down a "played by" who you think would best represent me. Reply here with the picture or link.

This person may be male or female depending on whether *I* strike you as male or female.

I am still working on resizing the DC videos so that they may be uploaded for shared amusement by all. But while that is going on, my cats were adorable this afternoon, and I found other pictures from a while ago that were just too cute not to be shared. Therefore, I present you with:

KITTEN!SPAM!

I'm baaack! So, the retreat? Some of the most pointless hours spent in my LIFE. I mean... OMG. Rediculous. When I got there at 10:30 after leaving my house late on my own and the people from my school STILL hadn't gotten there yet because they left late, PLUS I found out that I didn't need to be there until noon rather than 10 and all the rushing around I spent doing that morning wasn't necessary, I knew it was going to be a looooong 3 days.

Granted, some of it was informative, and will help the President and I get the PAGAN club back up on its feet. There was a guy there from a group called Collegiate Empowerment whose lectures were pretty interesting, if not really long, but still really informative. But most of the rest of it was lectures and ice breakers and just general try not to fall asleep because I'm bored out of my mind rediculousness. I was so glad to get out of there and go home on Wednesday.

---

So. Now that I am here... Pet Pictures! I promised pictures of Vinny, and have yet to deliver, so here they finally are.

Weekend In Review

Friday - Was supposed to be spent lounging around the house. Was instead spent looking (unsuccessfully :-/) for a job, but only after FINALLY MEETING [livejournal.com profile] perfectmisstake!!! OMG It was so much fun! She's just adorable and fun and YAY!!! I hope we can hang out again at some point dear, for more then just a few short hours :D

Saturday - Cleaned the livingroom/diningroom for Mom. Went to one of my oldest friend's little brother's graduation party. Sidenote - he just graduated highschool. I've known him since he before he was 7. OMG SCARY. I also FINALLY got to hang out with said friend, who I haven't seen in WAAAAY too long, and will hopefully be hanging out with again tomorrow.

Today - Happy Father's Day to all the fathers on my flist! :)

Bad news: Mom found a poor, sick kitten who couldn't have been more than 6-8 weeks old. She wouldn't leave him where he was (under a van), but she couldn't bring him in the house, so we have him outside in a box. We're going to call the ASPCA and/or the vet tomorrow to see if anyone can come get him and bring him to a shelter, or at least somewhere he can get help :(

Good news: My grandfather came over and the afternoon was spent watching movies, since Mom and Dad drove out to NJ to pick up the newest members of the family - a pair of guinea pigs we have now officially adopted, Yamaha and Yvette :D Poor Mystique has needed a playmate for too long now. Today was the first day since Elyse died that she was fully relaxed and didn't need attention from us all day long.

So far, Yvette has a adjusted the better of the two. Yamaha is a fiesty little thing - I can already tell she's going to be trouble ;)

But of course, I have pics! Yaaay!

Come, meet the new fuzzbutts :D )
