So, I know there has been an upswing in fic challenges as of late, but I'd like to throw a new community into the mix, now that I have the time to resurrect it and give it the time that it needs.hhr_challenge
is a challenge community that works a little differently from your average ficathon. At the beginning of each month, a list of prompts will be posted, one for every day of each month. H/Hr writers and artists are invited to use these prompts - all ratings are welcome. At the end of the month, a round-up will be posted with a list of the fics/art/drabble posted for each prompt that month.
Extended rules can be found over at hhr_challenge
in the userinfo. We don't have a lot of members, so please, join! I'm also looking for another mod or two, so if anyone would be interested, please let me know.
And feel free to pimp this around! The more, the merrier :D

Sometimes, the most fun things are the most random ones. So, I'm watching the Daytime Emmys tonight, rather bored. It's about 10:30, and a number I don't recognize comes up on my cell, but I pick up.
Person-I-think-I-know: Andie? It's J!
Me: Yeah, I recognized your voice! Hi! How are you! This is a surprise.
J: Yeah, random, I know, but I was driving a friend home and decided that I wanted to take a drive and I drove down your block and I figured "hey, I wonder if Andie's home," so I called, and you are, so I'm parked by the hydrant, you wanna come out and say hi?
Me: (amazed she's said all that in one breath) Sure!
Now, I haven't seen J in about... a year or so, maybe more. We were best friends in grade school, went to different high schools, but still kept in pretty close contact, but drifted apart once we hit college. She is the queen of random, so when she asked me if I wanted to take a ride with her for no reason besides the fact that we could and needed to catch up, I wasn't at all surprised.
Of course I said yes, just let me get my bag.
So off we went, at 10:30 at night, not sure where we were going. We ended up at a diner and just talked and got caught up a bit, and it was awesome. I told her the next time she's at home (she's away at school and is just home for the weekend) we should do this again.
Last but certainly not least, gacked from just about everyone:If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.
